Three Tech Stocks Riding AI’s Next Expansion

AI is leaving the data center. These mid-caps are where it’s landing next.

Everyone’s watching the hyperscaler capex cycle. But the next leg of the AI trade isn’t about more GPUs; it’s about the companies embedding AI into operations, finance, and medicine.

Microsoft Builds an AI Security Command Center

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) has launched MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, its first AI model built specifically to find difficult software vulnerabilities. The model works inside MDASH, Microsoft’s system for detecting security flaws and helping developers repair them.

Instead of reviewing code like a general chatbot, the model is trained for cybersecurity tasks across complex software environments.

Microsoft plans to put the technology into production immediately as AI-powered attacks become faster and harder to stop.

Meet the Red, Blue, and Green Crew

Microsoft is also introducing Perception, an agentic cybersecurity platform that deploys teams of AI agents across different security jobs.

Red agents simulate attacks, blue agents detect and prioritize vulnerabilities, and green agents take corrective action.

The agents can work together to trace a weakness from discovery to repair. Perception can also integrate with MDASH, giving security teams a single system for attack testing, threat detection, and code fixes.

Bugs Get a Much Shorter Lifespan

Traditional vulnerability investigations can require several specialists and hours of manual work. Microsoft’s new platform is designed to identify issues, create detections, improve security settings, and produce code repairs within minutes.

Perception brings Microsoft deeper into automated cyber defense as criminals adopt AI for phishing, malware, and software exploitation.

The platform is scheduled to enter preview in November, giving enterprise security teams an AI-powered system built to move at machine speed.

Apple Prepares Its Biggest Home Tech Push Yet

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) is preparing a major smart-home expansion centered on its new Siri AI assistant. The centerpiece will be a home hub designed to control connected devices, answer questions, manage household tasks, and coordinate Apple services from one screen.

The hub gives Siri a permanent place inside the home instead of limiting the assistant to phones, watches, and speakers.

Apple is shaping it as a central control point for lighting, cameras, entertainment, communication, and everyday routines.

The Living Room Gets an Apple Brain

Siri AI will bring more natural conversations, follow-up understanding, and smarter task handling into Apple’s home platform.

Household members could use the system to control devices, check schedules, view information, and perform several actions with a single spoken request.

Apple’s advantage comes from connecting the hub with iPhone, Apple Watch, HomeKit, FaceTime, and Apple Intelligence. The smart home becomes another part of the same ecosystem rather than a collection of separate gadgets.

HomePod Turns Up the Volume

Apple is also preparing refreshed home hardware, including a new HomePod mini and an updated Apple TV device. Both products can extend Siri AI across rooms while improving entertainment and smart-device control.

Together, the devices form a broader home computing platform centered on voice, screens, media, and automation. Apple is turning Siri from a device feature into the digital operator of the entire house.

Amazon Rebuilds Its AI Engine Around One Frontier Model

Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) is reshaping its AI model strategy by winding down several Nova products and concentrating development on a new flagship foundation model.

Nova Premier, Nova Omni, Nova Reel, and Nova Canvas will remain supported for existing users but will no longer sit at the center of Amazon’s AI roadmap.

The change narrows a broad lineup that previously covered text, images, video, and multimodal tasks. Amazon is moving engineers and computing power toward fewer systems with a stronger focus on advanced reasoning and large-scale AI performance.

The Frontier Model Gets the Fast Lane

A new internal effort called Frontier Model Research is developing Amazon’s next major foundation model. The system is expected to become the company’s main technology for competing in advanced generative AI across AWS and other Amazon services.

Amazon is bringing model development closer to its custom chips, cloud infrastructure, and AI software. That tighter connection can help the company optimize training, inference, and deployment across its own data centers.

AWS Keeps the Useful Pieces

Amazon is not abandoning the entire Nova platform. Nova 2 Sonic, Nova 2 Lite, Nova Forge, and Nova Act will continue supporting voice AI, lightweight workloads, model customization, and autonomous agent technology.

The remaining products give AWS customers practical tools while Amazon prepares its next flagship system. Amazon is turning a crowded AI portfolio into a more focused stack built around models, agents, custom silicon, and cloud deployment.

AI Automation

UiPath’s Agentic Pivot Gains Traction (PATH)

UiPath (NYSE: PATH) is positioning its AI automation platform as the operating layer for enterprise agentic AI. At $11.62 with a $6 billion market cap, the stock trades at a forward P/E under 15 — cheap for a name with 15% revenue growth and 83% gross margins.

The thesis: as enterprises move from AI experimentation to deployment, UiPath’s automation infrastructure becomes the connective tissue.

SMB Fintech

BILL’s Pre-Earnings Value Setup (BILL)

BILL Holdings (NYSE: BILL) reports fiscal Q4 results this earnings season, and multiple analysts are flagging the stock as undervalued. Truist raised its price target to $44 on July 24, while a separate analysis pegged BILL as 17% below fair value on its embedded finance narrative.

At $44.90 with a $4.5 billion market cap and 81% gross margins, the financial automation platform for SMBs is the kind of sticky, high-margin software that rewards patient holders.

Healthcare AI

Tempus AI’s Billion-Dollar Cancer Bet (TEM)

Tempus AI (NASDAQ: TEM) just acquired Personalis for its MRD cancer monitoring technology, then launched its OneOme pharmacogenomics platform days later.

At $42.91 with a $7.7 billion market cap and 70% year-over-year revenue growth, TEM is the most aggressive AI-in-medicine play on the market. The stock is near its 52-week low, which means the acquisition risk is largely priced in.

Mobileye at Rock Bottom (MBLY)

Mobileye Global (NASDAQ: MBLY) designs the EyeQ edge AI chips that power autonomous driving systems in millions of vehicles worldwide.

The stock has been crushed — down to $8.01, near its 52-week low of $6.47 — and the market is pricing in maximum pessimism around Intel’s ownership overhang and a slow ADAS upgrade cycle.

But Piper Sandler just upgraded MBLY to Overweight on Monday with a $12 price target, and Evercore ISI maintains Outperform with a $16 target.

The company sits on nearly $1.9 billion in cash with zero debt. A forward P/E of 25 tells you analysts see the earnings power on the other side of this cycle.

The thesis: the automotive industry’s AI transition is delayed, not canceled. When the next upgrade cycle hits, Mobileye’s EyeQ chips are already designed into dozens of OEM platforms. If Piper Sandler is right, that’s a 50% move from here.
