Amazon Prepares Satellite Deployment to Expand Broadband Reach

Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) will launch its first operational batch of Kuiper internet satellites on April 9. The mission marks the start of Amazon's effort to offer satellite-based broadband to consumers, governments, and businesses.
United Launch Alliance will carry the satellites into low Earth orbit aboard its Atlas V rocket. The launch will take place from Cape Canaveral, Florida, and will be live-streamed on ULA's official platform. Project Kuiper aims to build a satellite constellation of over 3,000 units.
Amazon completed its first space test in October 2023 using two prototypes. This upcoming launch will include the company's final satellite design and marks its first multi-satellite deployment.
Commercial rollout plans gained momentum after delays pushed the first full deployment from 2024 to 2025. ULA had prioritized two missions for the U.S. Space Force, which affected Kuiper's initial schedule.
Broadband access remains Kuiper's central focus. Amazon will offer its service through user terminals that are capable of sending and receiving signals from the satellite network. Target users include remote communities and regions lacking reliable internet coverage.
Federal Communications Commission rules require Amazon to deploy half of the planned Kuiper constellation—at least 1,618 satellites—by mid-2026. Amazon has secured over 80 future launches with providers, including ULA, SpaceX, and Blue Origin to meet this goal.
Teams have completed ground testing to prepare for this launch. This mission will be the foundation for future satellite deployments and customer-facing services under the Kuiper program.

Oracle Confirms Legacy Server Breach at Healthcare Unit

Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) has notified healthcare clients of a data breach involving a legacy server managed under its Oracle Health unit. The company confirmed that unauthorized access occurred earlier this year on infrastructure that had not yet migrated to Oracle Cloud.
Notifications sent to affected customers stated that the incident occurred around February 20. The impacted system contained data linked to Cerner, the electronic health records company Oracle acquired in 2022.
Oracle Health supports hospitals and healthcare providers with technology platforms that enable digital access to medical records. At the time of the incident, the legacy server involved in the breach had not yet transitioned to Oracle’s cloud environment.
Some healthcare clients received breach alerts after internal teams completed the necessary investigations in March. The notifications outlined that the accessed data came from a system scheduled for future decommissioning.
The company did not disclose the exact nature or volume of patient data involved in the event. Oracle also did not specify which hospitals or providers may have been affected. The company has not issued a further public statement in response to the incident.
Efforts to migrate remaining legacy assets to Oracle Cloud continue as part of Oracle Health's broader integration. The company maintains a multi-phase roadmap for platform modernization across its health technology division.
Internal teams remain focused on addressing system integrity and maintaining continuity for Oracle Health clients. Additional updates are expected to follow as investigations progress and security measures are reviewed.

Microsoft Adds Creative and Accessibility Tools to Copilot+ PCs

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) has expanded its Copilot+ feature set across a broader range of devices powered by AMD, Intel, and Snapdragon X processors. The update brings several AI-driven tools, including Live Captions, Cocreator, Restyle Image, and Image Creator, to more Windows PCs.
Copilot+ now su
pports laptops and desktops with AMD Ryzen AI 300 chips, Intel Core Ultra 200V, and Snapdragon X Series processors. Microsoft began the rollout with Snapdragon devices and has extended key features to other platforms.
Live Captions enables real-time English translations for audio and video content. Users can activate this feature during meetings, video playback, and podcasts. Microsoft also introduced Simplified Chinese as a new supported language for caption output. The translation feature currently works across over 40 languages.
Now available on AMD and Intel devices, Cocreator enhances the Paint app. This tool allows users to generate visuals using text prompts alongside hand-drawn input. Restyle Image and Image Creator, part of the Photos app, offers new ways to transform images using creative filters and AI-generated designs.
Voice Access, another Copilot+ feature, remains available on Snapdragon X Series devices. Microsoft confirmed plans to extend this tool to other Copilot+ PCs later in the year. This version improves users' interaction with devices using natural speech and descriptive prompts.
Support teams continue to refine these features based on hardware performance and user feedback.
Microsoft aims to unify the Copilot+ experience across its growing network of AI-capable Windows PCs.

Recent Tech Movers
Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) reported its worst quarterly delivery rate since 2022, pushing just 337,000 electric vehicles out of factory doors compared to more than 400,000 anticipated by most analysts. Many blamed Elon Musk’s dual (and often competing) Federal government duties for shifting his attention from Tesla performance targets. The good news? Musk’s tenure as a “special government employee” ends in May, meaning he’ll have greater flexibility to focus on fixing Tesla’s troubles.
Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is at the center of a battle between major credit card companies, including Visa (NYSE:V) and Mastercard (NYSE:MA). Consumer lenders are fighting to be the next line in line to service Apple’s expanding credit card ecosystem, taking over from Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) as their existing contract winds down. Apple’s card program holds about $20 billion in balances, making it a target ripe for competition.
Cognyte Software (NASDAQ:CGNT) shares popped this week following strong fourth-quarter results. The stock climbed more than 20% in a single trading session after tripling earnings estimates and beating sales projections. Better yet, the company’s earnings call included rosy projections for fiscal year 2026 exceeding analyst expectations, meaning Cognyte’s run may be just getting started.

Don’t Overlook This Tech Stock
Endava (NYSE:DAVA ) is perfectly positioned to capture rapid tech expansion globally, as the company primarily consults with large enterprise clients to help their digital transformation. This comes primarily in the form of custom software solutions - meaning Endava can nest itself within a client’s tech stack ecosystem in an industry where switching costs are high, creating long-term recurring revenue opportunities.
Look no further than one of Endava’s longest-running customers for proof. Mastercard (NYSE:MA) has been a client for over 20 years, contributing about 10% of Endava’s total revenue. While relying on a handful of large-scale clients to deliver the bulk of its sales, Endava is pivoting toward an expansion within healthcare and retail to broaden its scope beyond its current financial services, media, and telecom emphasis.
Endava projects 20% organic sales growth annually in the coming years and currently trades at a modest 16x earning and 1.2x sales - making it a bargain, considering its looming upside potential.
